The evidence in words
The verdict
For erectile dysfunction, Yohimbine earns evidence grade B (moderate effect, mixed consistency) — there is real evidence here. Real evidence
How it might work
Blocking alpha-2 receptors increases fat mobilization (especially in 'stubborn' regions) and raises sympathetic tone — which also causes its side effects.
How to use it
Safety & cautions
Anxiogenic, raises heart rate and blood pressure; risky with anxiety disorders, hypertension, and MAOIs/stimulants.
Bottom line
Works for fasted fat loss and ED, but the anxiety and cardiovascular effects make it a poor fit for many. Start low, avoid with stimulants or if anxious/hypertensive.
