3 at grade C — 3 graded rows

What is known

Each outcome with its grade (how strong the evidence is, A to D), the size of the effect where the entry records one, and how often studies agree.

Conditions

How the entry reads its effect on diagnosed conditions: the direction first, then the grade. Never a substitute for the person who treats you.

What is uncertain

Read off the same rows as above. Nothing here is added that the entry does not itself record.

  • Thin evidence: Blood pressure (grade C); Fibrinolytic markers (grade C).
  • Caution with Anticoagulants (warfarin): Fibrinolytic — additive bleeding risk with anticoagulants.

Interactions

Documented pairings with supplements and medicines. A medicine on this list is a conversation for whoever prescribes it.

The evidence in words

What it is

Nattokinase is an enzyme from natto (fermented soybeans) with clot-dissolving (fibrinolytic) activity.

How it works

It breaks down fibrin and may reduce blood viscosity and blood pressure.

What the evidence shows

Small trials show modest blood-pressure reduction and improved fibrinolytic markers; hard cardiovascular-outcome data are lacking. The fibrinolytic action is real, which is exactly why it carries a bleeding-interaction caution.

How to use it

2,000 FU/day if used.

Safety & interactions

Additive bleeding risk with anticoagulants/antiplatelets and around surgery; soy-allergy caution. warfarin — Fibrinolytic — additive bleeding risk with anticoagulants.

Bottom line

A real fibrinolytic enzyme with modest blood-pressure data. Don't combine with blood thinners or use around surgery.

How it is used

As the entry records it, from the studies it summarises. Not a recommendation for you — doses that suit a trial population may not suit you.

Standard
2,000 FU/day.
