The evidence in words
The interaction
L-Citrulline and Beta-Alanine — a synergy interaction. The two evidence-backed halves of most pre-workouts.
What to do
These two complement each other — taking them together is reasonable and, for the stated reason, may work better than either alone.
About L-Citrulline
L-citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that the body converts to arginine and then nitric oxide more effectively than arginine taken directly, which is largely destroyed in the gut. It is sold as pure citrulline or as citrulline malate.
The bigger picture
Supplement–drug and supplement–supplement interactions are the reason a stack should be read as a system, not a list. This platform's interactions graph maps them; the medication side always belongs with the person who prescribes it.
