We assayed nine magnesium products off the shelf

Written by Rootline Botanicals about its own work. Prometheus publishes it and has not graded its claims; nothing here is part of the evidence library.

Rootline Botanicals is a demonstration business the app ships with. Its brand and its figures are invented.

Three failed their label claim. One 'threonate' was mostly oxide. The chromatograms, published.

We bought nine competing magnesium products retail and ran the same HPLC panel our own batches get. Six matched their labels within tolerance. Two under-delivered elemental magnesium by 15–30%. One product sold as L-threonate assayed as majority oxide — the cheapest form wearing the most expensive name.

We've published all nine chromatograms (anonymized to lot numbers — our lawyers are brave, not reckless). The pattern: the failures cluster in proprietary blends, where per-form math is legally fuzzy.

What protects you: single-form products, elemental dose stated per capsule, and any brand willing to show a batch assay. Ours are on every product page; that's the point.
